Fiberglass has become the most common form of insulation in the US and while offering reasonable insulation values, it still has serious health consequences for on site installers who are exposed to it.

Vireo's walls offer twice the insulation value of conventional homes and do so with products from renewable resources. Our wall cavities are filled with rock wool bats which offer better insulation value than typical fiberglass bats. The entire exterior of the home is then wrapped in a continuous blanket of compressed wood fiber-board. This continuous blanket eliminates the thermal breaks between the structure and the wall cavity allowing it to perform more effectively. As an added benefit, the compressed wood fiber board is engineered as a fire barrier to further protect you in your Vireo home.
